Bismuth yttriate?Bi3YO6?is widely used in the photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide and degradation of organic waste.This study has found that it also performs very well in the field of near infrared reflective pigments.In this paper,two types of Bi3YO6 based near infrared reflective pigment.Bi3YO6 has the potential as a next-generation near infrared reflective pigment.In order to change the color of the pigment to be too single,The color of Bi3YO6was improved by doping Fe?III?and Tb?IV?,and Bi3YO6,Bi3-xFexYO6?x=0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2,0.25,0.3,0.4,0.6,0.8?and Bi3Y1-xTbxO6+??x=0.01,0.02,0.03,0.04,0.05,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5?pigments powder were prepared by high temperature sintering method.In order to reduce the production cost of pigment powder and promote the industrial production of low-cost near-infrared reflective pigments,Bi3YO6@3M glass beads were synthesized in this paper.Use X-ray diffraction?XRD?,particle size analyzer,scanning electron microscope?SEM?,energy dispersive spectrometer?EDS?,metallographic microscope,ultraviolet-visible near infrared spectrophotometer?UV-vis-IR?,colorimeter,Coating thickness instrument,infrared thermal imager and other equipment to detect and analyze the synthesized pigments.The results show that the crystal structure of the pigment synthesized in this experiment conforms to the description of the standard card,the particle size is uniform,and the doping elements are evenly distributed in the crystal lattice.For Bi3-xFex YO6 pigment powder,the doping of Fe?III?changes the color of Bi3YO6pigment from yellow to dark red,L*decreases,and the near-infrared reflectance is lost but within an acceptable range.For Bi3Y1-xTbxO6+?pigment powder,the doping pigment of Tb?IV?makes the pigment color change from yellow to dark yellow.Acid and alkali resistance tests show that the synthesized pigments have good weather resistance.Practical application tests show that the synthetic pigment Bi3-xFexYO6?x=0.4?is close in color to the commonly used iron oxide yellow pigments on the market.The thermal insulation performance of Bi3YO6 far exceeds that of iron yellow pigments.The galvanized plate coated with Bi3YO6 is exposed to infrared light the lower peak temperature is at least 20°C lower than the galvanized sheet coated with iron yellow pigment.The addition of glass microbeads greatly reduces the density of the pigment compared to Bi3YO6,enhances the operability of the paint,greatly reduces the production cost,and there is no obvious loss of near-infrared reflection performance,because the glass bubbles themselves have a certain thermal insulation performance Therefore,in practical applications,Bi3YO6@3M glass beads have better thermal insulation performance than Bi3YO6.The pigment prepared in this paper has a good application prospect in the field of near infrared reflective pigments.
