The Research On Community Participation In Giant Panda National Park

Against the backdrop of piloting system of China’s national parks,the giant panda national park,as one of the piloting systems,has gotten attention.Community participation is one of the important contents of the national parks,and it plays an increasingly important role in the construction and development of the national parks.“Symbiosis” and “community participation” have become the focus of the study of the community of the national parks,which signifies that the community is becoming an important power of the construction the national parks.In the process of writing,we use field research and interview,observed the participation of Wolong community discovered that there still exist some problems for the community to participate in the ecological protection of national parks: insufficient willingness to participation,limited number of participants,limited content of participation,little participation mode and low level of participation.This paper will analyze the community participation from the perspective of traditional customs,ecological concepts,local policies.Through the study of symbiosis theory and community participation theory,combined with the unique geographical,human environment and social environment in Wolong area,we attempt to build the integration mode of mutualistic symbiosis.We should mine local knowledge and play the role of village regulations and agreements and religious beliefs in ecological protection,strengthen community participation in the construction of ecological protection projects at the community level.We should expand the participation of community residents in the full process through the change of functions and roles of the government at the government level.We should realize the combination of grassroots governance and traditional community elites,and enhance the life of the community people with the help of capital power at the social level.
