In this study,we used rosin as a modifier and vacuum high-pressure impregnation filling process to enhance the alkali pretreatment of round bamboo.The structure,chemical composition and properties of tea culm bamboo cells were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffractometry(XRD),nitrogen adsorption(BET),etc.to investigate the distribution of rosin and its modifier,the binding properties and the mechanism of action with the bamboo cell wall.The main studies are as follows:(1)The cell types of bamboo green,bamboo flesh and bamboo yellow of tea-culm bamboo round bamboo affect the permeability and swelling of the bamboo material.The bamboo green system consists of the epidermis,hypodermis and dermal structure,while on the epidermis,long cells,silica cells and cork cells are evenly distributed and arranged in a longitudinal direction;the pores of the ducts at the bamboo flesh are long flat elliptical and short flat elliptical,which are single pore structures;the thin-walled cells are rich in pores and rounded,while the pores on the fibroblasts are very sparse;the cells on the outer surface of the bamboo yellow are crescent-shaped,a solid structure with multiple wall layers,arranged horizontally,lax and not dense.(2)After the alkali treatment,the contact angle of the tea pole bamboo is increased,and the permeability is improved.At 80 ° C and 6% alkali treatment,the bamboo pole has the highest permeability,the contact angle is 84 °,which is 50% lower than that of the untreated;the bamboo wax layer after 6% alkali treatment disappears,and many fiber cells appear Nano-scale pores,the wall of thin-walled cells shrunk,and cracks appeared in the corners of the cells;and the bamboo yellow cellsalso deformed after alkali treatment.The structure of cellulose after alkali treatment is still type I,while the hemicellulose xylan and glucomannan are degraded,and the guaiacyl content of lignin is also reduced;the relative crystallinity of cellulose As the concentration increases,it decreases first and then increases.(3)Both rosin impregnation modification and epoxy resin rosin impregnation modification promoted the dimensional stability and hydrophobicity of tea culm bamboo round bamboo.And the epoxy resin-modified rosin dipped tea culm round bamboo had lower and better water absorption on day 12 of the water absorption experiment than the 30 wt% rosin dipped.The chemical reactivity between rosin and bamboo components was poor and no covalent bond was found to be formed between them by IR spectroscopy,which was detrimental to the effect of rosin impregnation modification and the resistance to loss.And by chemically modifying rosin with epoxy resin,the epoxy ring breaks open,and the hydroxyl radicals of bamboo are adductively reacted,thus forming a covalent bond with bamboo,which promotes the binding of rosin to bamboo and helps improve the binding effect of rosin to the cell wall.
