Barium residue is a kind of solid residue,which is produced by carbonization reduction reaction of barite at high temperature and leaching with dilute halide,the barium carbonate produced in Our country accounts for 75%of the world's total production.Every one ton of barium carbonate produced will produce 0.8-1 ton of barium residue,It is reported that the stock of barium slag has exceeded 10 million tons in China.The barium residue contains Si,Al,Ba,Ca,Mg,O,S,The existing forms of Ba in barium residue are mainly unreacted BaSO4 and Ba CO3,and a small amount of BaS remains.Among them,BaCO3 and BaS are soluble barium,the concentration of Ba ion leaching rate in barium residue far exceeds the concentration limit in GB-5085.3-2007 Hazardous Waste Identification Standard.Ba is a heavy metal element harmful to life.Therefore,barium residue from the production of barium carbonate is a dangerous solid waste.In this paper,the f main components and content of main components in old barium residue sampled from the residue field of Barium salt Co.LTD and Fresh barium residue sampled from the barium carbonate production line were analyzed by SEM-EDS,the national standard X-ray fluorescence spectrometry.The main composition and content of the old barium residue respectively are:barium sulfide1.34%,barium sulfate 16.984%,barium carbonate 22.87%,silicon dioxide 15.338%,carbon 6.58%.The main composition and content of fresh barium residue respectively are:barium sulfide 1.28%,barium sulfate 14.586%,barium carbonate31.89%,silicon dioxide 13.247%,carbon 6.27%.The soluble barium containing compound content of the former is less than that of the latter.In addition,the barium residue also contains Al,Ba,Ca,Mg,Sr,and a few minor metal elements?such as Ti?and rare earth elements.SEM-EDS analysis results of barium residue show that the surface microstructure of barium residue can be roughly divided into two different structures,namely the layered structure of incomplete reaction barite and the pore structure after high temperature melting of barite.In this paper,barium residue was treated innocuously by sulfuric acid leaching and explores the optimal conditions of barium residue acid leaching by controlling sulfuric acid concentration,reaction temperature,reaction time,stirring speed and other variables.The best process for making cement by acid leaching of barium residue is as follows:The concentration of sulfuric acid was 1.0mol/L,the excess coefficient was 1.2,the reaction temperature?T?was adjusted to 50,the reaction time?t?was set to 2h,and the stirring speed was set to 800r/min.Filter after reaction,wash the filtrate to pH 7,dry and set aside to obtain low toxic barium residue.After the barium slag acid leaching under these conditions,the barium ion leaching rate decreased by 98.72%,far lower than the upper limit of barium ion detection in national standard hazardous waste leaching solution.the content of barium sulfate increased by 60.79%,which proved that this process could effectively reduce the soluble barium content in barium residue,solidified barium resources,increase the stability of barium residue,and reduce the toxicity and application risk of barium residue.In this paper,the best ratio of radiation-proof cement was studied by preparing radiation-proof cement with barium residue after acid leaching of 42.5ordinary Portland cement.In this paper,the best ratio of radiation-proof cement was explored by preparing radiation-proof cement with barium residue after adding certain amount of acid leaching into raw material of 42.5 ordinary Portland cement.The results show that the low toxic barium residue calcined at 400 high temperature for 30min is helpful to improve the later strength of the radiation-proof cement,The best content of low toxic barium residue is 20.Under these technological conditions,the flexural and compressive strength of the radiation proof cement on 28 days increased by 3.1%compared with the pure cement,and the setting time and compressive and flexural strength were all in line with the national standard of composite Portland cement.This article through to the radiation protection concrete protective plate do X ray protective material made of shielding performance testing,draw the conclusion:The protective effect of 1cm protective plate is equivalent to the attenuation equivalent of0.21mm Pb coating protective plate,and that of 1.50cm protective plate is equivalent to the attenuation equivalent of 0.27mm Pb coating protective plate,indicating that the radiation-proof cement prepared by barium residue proposed in this paper has protective effect.The research content of this paper realizes the maximum utilization of barium residue resources,effectively avoids environmental pollution and resource waste,and provides a new idea and experimental basis for the industrialization of barium residue treatment.
