Superb physical and mechanical properties and outstanding oil-resistance are most important for rubber aerial sealing materials.Meanwhile,maintain the resilience under the low temperature to prevent failure is another important property for aerial seals.In this paper,influence of physical and mechanical properties,oil resistance(RP-3,YH-10)and low temperature resistance of nitrile rubber and carboxyl acrylic rubber with different types of rubber,cure systems,reinforcement agent and plasticizers were investigated.The application of unsaturated carboxylic acid metal salts in acrylic rubber was discussed.The result showed that,With the content of acrylonitrile in NBR was rised,the volume chang rate of NBR vulcanized rubber were decreased,the properties of oil resistance was rised,tensile strength was better,the vulcanized rubber had higher compression set and brittle temperature.The grades of carbon black had low effect on the volume chang rate after oil-aging and brittle temperature of NBR vulcanized rubber,but tensile strength and hardness of NBR vulcanized rubber was deteriorated.The types of plasticizer had low effect on the physical and mechanical properties and oil resistance of NBR vulcanized rubber,compared with the vulcanized rubber filled with plasticizer DOP,NBR filled with plasticizer TP-95 and DOS had better low temperature resistance.NBR vulcanized rubber with peroxide/sulfur cure systems had excellent physical and mechanical properties and low temperature resistance,and the degree of swelling and compression set after oil-aging were lower than others.Improved the crosslinking density was the best way to reduce the compression set.When the cure condition was 160?×30min,NBR N41=100(phr),the amount of DCP/TAIC/S/CZ=2/1/0.2/0.2(phr),the properties of NBR vulcanized rubber was best.For the acrylic rubbert,the scorch time of ACM compounds was shorter than other compounds.ACM had better heat resistance than oil resisitance,the swelling degree of ACM vulcanized rubber in RP-3 was lager.Compared with different types of ACM with AR120,R220,AR320,the low temperature resistance of AR120 vulcanized rubber was poor,and other properties like processing performance,physical and mechanical properties and oil resistance was best.The oil resistance and compression set of AR320 was better than AR220 vulcanized rubber.MMG partially replace the N550 could reduced the mooney viscosity of ACM compounds,the tensile strength and hardness and tear strength was increased,and lower the volume chang rate of ACM vulcanized rubber.When the amount of N550/MMG/DCP=55/15/0.4(phr),post cure for 6 hours,the properties of ACM vulcanized rubber was best.But the compression set of ACM was increased.Combinated with NBR can lower the compression set of ACM,the aging resistance was decreased with the improve of NBR.
