Due to the design defects of the 160 t CDQ'sannular air duct,the collapse accidents occured frequently in a short period of time,which had a great i MPact on the production.In order to prolong the service life of the annular air duct,the project of " Design and Application of Revamping Scheme of Annular Air Duct for 160 t CDQ Furnace of an Enterprise" was implemented.For this reason,the following research work was carried out:The force of 160 tcoke dry quenching annular duct was analyzed.With the model built by Ansys workbench software,coke accumulation side pressure and thermal stress on the annular duct were analyzed.It was concluded that the original designed annular duct was fragile under the action of force.Combining with the basic situation of refractory materials,the brick type is redesigned to ensure that the strength of the annular duct meets the requirements,and the service life of the annular duct is greatly prolonged.The new brick type was used in the midium repair of dry quenching furnace in 2016,which the annular duct was rebuilt.The materials,construction conditions,construction process and corresponding precautions for rebuilding annular duct are discussed in details.The quality of building annular duct is guaranteed,so that the uneven force caused by the influence of the masonry causes,which may causes the collapse,is avoided in the rebuilding of annular duct.After the rebuilt of 160 t annular duct,co MPared with the actual production parameters,the evaluation of the dry quenching after modification is made: the resistance of the rebuilt dry quenching system increases,the CSA of the annular duct decreases by 14%,resulting in the increase of system resistance.The circulation air volume decreases to 190362m3/h(stander),16.5% less co MPared to the original.Under the same gas-material ratio,the production capacity of dry quenching decreases to 90%,and 100% coke dry quenching rate can not be achieved.It has been more than two yearssince the retrofit,and the running condition is good.No collapse has been found.According to the economic analysis and co MParison,although the coke dry quenching rate isdecreased,the overall calculation is still advantageous.
