Water resources has become a global problem in the 21 st century.With the rapid economic development and the acceleration of the industrialization process,Chinese ecological environment has been seriously damaged,among which water pollution has threatened the survival and development of human beings.As a kind of Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products,ketoprofen?KTP?has been frequently detected in the world.It is difficult to remove by traditional water treatment processes,but can be degraded by advanced oxidation technology.The activated persulfate advanced oxidation technology based on the strong oxidation of sulfate radical?SO4·–?has been widely recognized to be effective in water treatment.In this paper,ZrO2/CuO was used to activate PMS to produce SO4·– to remove KTP from water.The heterogeneous activator was cheap,simple in preparation and easy to separate.In this study,ZrO2 carrier was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis method,while ZrO2/CuO was prepared by sedimentation-precipitation method and then activated in muff furnace at 400?,600? and 800? respectively.XRD,SEM,FTIR and XPS were performed on the ZrO2/CuO.With KTP as the target pollutant and the degradation test of KTP removal by activated persulfate was carried out to select the optimal activator,the optimal activator was selected to be prepared at 120? and activated at 400?.The effects of temperature,p H value,humic acid,chloride ion,bicarbonate ion and phosphate dihydrogen ion on the degradation were investigated.The results showed that the degradation rate of KTP decreased with the increase of p H value.With the increase of system temperature,the degradation rate of KTP showed an upward trend.With the increase of the concentration of humic acid,chloride ion,bicarbonate ion and dihydrogen phosphate ion in the system,KTP will be inhibited to different degrees.Persulfate degradation of KTP system activated by ZrO2/CuO conforms to pseudo-first-order reaction kinetics,and the reaction rate constant increases with temperature,but decreases with p H value,humic acid and various ion concentrations.By comparing the alone persulfate system with the activated persulfate system,it can be seen that the degradation rate of KTP increased significantly after ZrO2/CuO activation was added.Through adding methanol and tert-butanol,the production path of oxidant in the system was analyzed,and it was found that the main product in the system was SO4·–,which proved that ZrO2/CuO activated persulfate conforms to the SO4·– theory.ZrO2/CuO system has wider applicability than traditional metal ion activation of PMS.ZrO2/CuO has the advantages of low dosage,wide application conditions,better KTP degradation effect and simple operation.It has a strong application prospect and provides a new possibility for the degradation of KTP in water.
