With the development of modern society,all-solid-state lasers have become more and more widely used in all aspects of society.As the core and foundation of the development of laser technology,the research of laser materials and device processing technology has great significance and role.YAG crystal has the advantages of low laser threshold,high power,high gain,and thermal shock resistance.It is the most widely used in lasers and has important significance for the research of its processing technology.This paper proposes a spin grinding method for hard and brittle materials such as YAG crystals to remove most of the machining allowance before the final polishing.For the surface morphology,grinding force,grinding temperature and heat of YAG crystals in spin grinding Research has been carried out on various aspects such as deformation.First,according to the characteristics of spin grinding,the grinding depth of the abrasive particles is calculated,the grinding trajectory is established,the division of the grinding area and the calculation of the grinding speed of the abrasive particles are completed;then the surface morphology of the fine-grained grinding wheel is comprehensively established The model completes the simulation of the YAG crystal surface morphology,and finds that the surface quality of the workpiece is closely related to the particle size of the grinding wheel,but is not sensitive to the change of grinding parameters.Then according to the characteristics of plastic domain grinding,the contact mode of single abrasive grains and YAG crystal is divided into elastic contact and plastic contact.The tangential grinding force and normal grinding force are calculated for different contact modes.The normal grinding force of all abrasive grains in the grinding area is accumulated to obtain the total normal grinding force,and the influence of grinding parameters on the normal grinding force is analyzed.Finally,according to the change rule of the grinding heat source in the spin grinding,an annular heat source model that does not change with time is proposed,and then the grinding heat transfer is considered based on the physical parameters of the grinding wheel and the workpiece,the cooling effect,etc.The distribution ratio of the workpiece was established in the finite element analysis software.The temperature field and thermal deformation field of the YAG crystal were established,and the influence of the grinding parameters on the maximum temperature and thermal deformation of the workpiece was analyzed.
