Marine pipelines play a vital role in the development, production and transportation of marine oil and gas fields, and are the lifeline for the development of marine oil and gas fields.Filament-wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipe has many advantages such as high flexibility, high designability, fast installation speed, strong corrosion resistance and strong stability. In recent years,Filament-wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipes have not only received extensive attention from researchers in various countries, but also gradually applied to the marine oil transportation industry.Filament-wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipes are very necessary for the study of their mechanical properties due to the complexity and particularity of their constituent materials. In this paper, theoretical method and finite element numerical analysis are used to study the mechanical properties of filament wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipes under internal pressure. The main work of this paper are summarized as follow:(1)In this paper, the structural characteristics of the filament-reinforced thermoplastic composite pipe are considered, and the theoretical model consisting of the inner layer, the reinforcement layer and the outer layer is established and then create simplified models for the inner, outer and reinforcement layers respectively.Using this model to carry out stress and strain analysis.(2)The finite element model of filament-wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipe was established by ABAQUS software.Use the same loading and boundary conditions as in theoretical analysis and simulate the mechanical properties of filament-wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipe under internal pressure.Compared the theoretical results and the finite element results to verify the accuracy and rationality of the theoretical method.(3)Parameter study is got to filament wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipe.Sensitivity analysis was performed on important parameters such as fiber number, fiber angle, fiber diameter, and diameter-thickness ratio. And then obtain the effects of different parameters on the mechanical properties of filament-wound reinforced thermoplastic composite pipes.
