The development of energy storage and electric vehicle industry puts forward higher requirements on the performance of batteries.Traditional lead-acid batteries are difficult to meet the requirements of these emerging fields.Lead-carbon batteries have the advantages of lead-acid batteries and supercapacitors.they have the characteristics of low cost,high current discharge,good safety,good low temperature performance and easy recovery.They are an ideal choice in the field of energy storage and electric vehicles.The type and amount of carbon materials in lead-carbon batteries play a significant role in the performance of lead-carbon batteries.In theory,the performance of lead-carbon batteries can be improved effectively because of its high specific surface area and porous structure.This paper proposes a method for preparing a three-dimensional hierarchical porous carbon material that is easy for industrial production and can effectively improve the performance of lead-carbon batteries and discusses the pore structure of carbon materials lead carbon battery performance.a mechanism of hierarchical porous carbon materials in lead-carbon batteries was studied.pilot experiments were carried out on commercial rice husk carbon materials to study the application of RHC in liquid-rich lead-carbon batteries.(1)Bamboo leaf was used as a biomass carbon source,and natural nano-SiO2 in bamboo leaf was used as a template to prepare a bamboo leaf-based hierarchical porous carbon(BLHPC)material with high specific surface area through pre-carbonization,NaOH etching,and KOH activation.Research shows that BLHPC has good capacitance characteristics,and the specific capacitance of BLHPC was as high as 252·F·g-1 at a current density of 0.5·A·g-1.More importantly,when BLHPC was added to the negative electrode of a lead-carbon battery,the battery exhibits excellent cycling performance,and it circulates for more than 55000 cycles in a partially charged state.(2)The mechanism of hierarchical porous carbon materials in the negative electrode of lead-carbon battery was studied.The commercial rice hull carbon material(RHC)and bamboo leaf-based graded porous carbon(BLHPC)were selected for comparison.The study found that the synergistic effect of the pores in the hierarchical porous carbon material is the key to improving the performance of lead-carbon batteries,and the high specific surface area can provide more active sites for the deposition of lead,which is more conducive to the contact between the electrolyte and the active material(3)The application of rice husk carbon material RHC in the liquid-rich lead-carbon battery was studied,and large-scale pilot production(1 T)was carried out on the production line of the enterprise,and compared with traditional batteries.The results show that the lead-carbon battery exhibits better high-current charge-discharge performance and low-temperature performance,and the research results have been applied to actual production.
