The complexes have aroused great interest,due to the structural diversity and potential application value.The structures of the complexes are affected by many factors,among which the organic linkers play the vital role in the properties.Semi-rigid ligands,with variable coordination mode,can form relatively stable frameworks while maintaining porosity,which have attracted a considerable amount of attention.But semirigid bisbenzimidazole N-donor ligands containing olefinic bonds(1,4-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)-2-butylene and 1,4-bis(5,6-dimethylbenzimidazol-1-yl)-2-butylene)is rarely investigated until now.Under hydrothermal/solvent conditions,four new complexes were synthesized using semi-rigid N-containing ligands,different aromatic carboxylic acid ligands and Cd(II)ions.1 features a dia framework.2 is a sql structure,and further extends into a 3D supramolecular framework via ?-? interactions.3 displays a unique(4,4,5)-connected new topology.4 shows a 2D 3,4L83 structure.Two 3D complexes were obtained by selecting the above semi-rigid N-containing ligands,1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and Zn(II)metal salts.5 is a two nodes(4,5)-connected xah topology network,and 6 is a(3,4)-connected dmc structure.Four new complexes were synthesized through the connection of semi-rigid N-donor ligands and carboxylic acids with Ni(II)ions.7 shows a(3,6)-connected new topology with the Schl?fli symbol of {63}{67.83}.The 8 is a 3-fold interpenetrating structure with sqc6 topology.9 displays a sql 2D layer.10 possesses a 3,6T13 structure.1,3,5,6 and 8 all show high thermal stabilities.1 can be used to detect Cu2+,while 2 can detect Hg2+.Both 5 and 6 can act as dual-function fluorescent chemical detectors to detect glyoxal and Cr2O72-anions with high selectivity and sensitivity.In addition,2,5 and 9 can serve as high-efficiency photocatalysts for photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue under UV irradiation,and the degradation efficiency were above 95%.Figure 72;Table 10;Reference 77...
