With the industrialization of society and rapid development of economy, wastewater containing endocrine disrupting compounds(EDCs)has received great attention.Biochar refers to a stable,carbon-rich,highly aromatic porous carbonaceous solid.Due to its porous structure,it has widely used in the repair and treatment of pollutants in water. This paper has mainly about the removal performance of 17?-estradiol(E2)from modified biochar materials, and explored the influence of external environmental factors and heavy metal Cu(II)on E2 adsorption and co-adsorption experiments. The relevant research contents are as follows:In the first part, the adsorption properties and mechanism of attapulgite/biochar composites(ATP/BC)on E2 in water were studied. The morphology, structure and compositions of modified biochar were investigated by a series of characterization technology. The influences of initial solution pH,adsorption time, different initial concentration of pollutant, temperature, ionic strength and background electrolyte onto ATP/BC were also studied. The experimental data was fitted by kinetics and isotherm models. Then the mechanism of E2 onto ATP/BC were analyzied. The maximum adsorption capacity of E2 was 154.23 mg/g.The results showed that initial pH,adsorption time, different initial concentration of E2,temperature and background electrolyte have influences on the adsorption process. The second part studied the removal performance of E2 in water by activated magnetized biochars(AMBCs).Activated magnetized biochar(AMBC-300,AMBC-500 and AMBC-700)were prepared at different temperature by a one-step activated and magnetized process. The part also considered the effect of heavy metal Cu(II)on the adsorption of E2 by AMBCs.The experimental results showed that there are differences in the surface structure of activated magnetized biochar under different temperature preparations. Results from this study indicated that the 17?-estradiol was adsorbed by hydrogen bonds,?-? EDA interactions.Cu(II)was mainly adsorbed via chemical complexation between contained oxygen functional groups and Cu(II)ions. The binary solute system indicated that there existed site competition and enhancement on the sorption in binary-solute system.
