Acetic acid is an extremely important organic chemical raw material.The acetic acid distillation column is the core equipment of acetic acid production process.The existing stainless steel equal-diameter distillation column has the problems of large pressure difference and serious corrosion.This topic will focus on the two major technical bottlenecks in the original stainless steel equal-diameter distillation column,the structure of the original acetic acid distillation column will be optimized by using hydrodynamics theory.The main content of this article has the following aspects.(1)According to the theory of fluid mechanics,the distribution of flow field in distillation column with different layout of variable diameter section is simulated.The results show that the distribution of velocity field and pressure field in acetic acid distillation column is the best for the layout of variable diameter section with large end downward;at the same time,for the purpose of reducing the pressure difference in acetic acid distillation column,the inclination angle and height of large end downward variable diameter section are carried out.The simulation results show that the pressure difference in acetic acid distillation column decreases significantly when the inclination angle of the variable diameter section is 9° and the height is 1423 mm.(2)Titanium steel clad plate is used to solve the problem of acetic acid corrosion.According to the welding principle of titanium and steel,concave titanium filler is used to weld joint between titanium clad layer and titanium clad layer.The simulation results show that the stress concentration at weld toe is not obvious in the optimized welding structure.(3)According to the main design parameters of the equipment,the overall structure of the optimized acetic acid distillation column is designed,and the wall thickness of the acetic acid distillation column and the strength of the column wallare calculated.By designing the leak detection structure at the key parts of the acetic acid distillation column,it is convenient for field personnel to monitor the leak of acetic acid at all times.The pressure difference of acetic acid distillation column designed in this paper is small.Under the same energy consumption,the separation efficiency of acetic acid is obviously improved,and the corrosion resistance is also significantly improved.The designed acetic acid distillation column has been successfully applied to the acetic acid project of a Suqian company.The information feedback from users shows that the equipment works well and the related technical indicators meet the design requirements.
