Mesoporous materials have wide applications in many fields such as chemical industry,environment,energy,ect.Owing to the remarkable structural characteristics of mesoporous material such as high surface area,large pore size and pore volume.In recent years,it attracts more and more attention about the polymer matrix composites reinforced by mesoporous materials,the polymer molecular chains can be introduced into the mesoporous channels to form a good organic-inorganic interpenetrating network structure,and it will be benefit to the interface compatibility,thus improving the comprehensive properties of the composites.Literature review and previous study show that the dispersion of mesoporous materials in the matrix resin and the surface characteristics of mesoporous material have important effect on the performance of composites,but mesoporous materials will usually be in the form of clusters in micron scale by the conventional preparation method,and thus affecting the dispersion of mesoporous materials in the matrix.In this paper,mesoporous material,SBA-15 is used as the study object,the SBA-15/epoxy resin composite materials are prepared by melt-blending method,the monodisperse SBA-15 are synthesized by different methods,which possessed the ordered structure,adjustable pore diameter and pore volume,and was treated by coupling agent.Meanwhile,the properties of SBA-15/epoxy resin composites are characterized by some kinds of instruments.The main contents of this study are shown follows:The effects of adding different cosolvents?glycerol,polyethylene glycol,Twain-20?on monodisperse properties of SBA-15 are studied.The results show that glycerol is used as a cosolvent to benefit for the monodisperse of SBA-15,and by changing the dosage of glycerol,the morphology and aspect ratio of mesoporous materials were changed with the increase of glycerol contents,the SBA-15 would have the better dispersion and higher order structure when the ratio of template agent?P123?to glycerol template is 1:4.The mesoporous materials,with large pore size and pore volume,are prepared by using different synthesis methods?continuous mechanical stirring,static conditions?,and P123 used as the template agent,1,3,5-trimethylphenyl as swelling agent,TEOS as silicon source,and compare adding glycerol and no glycerol.Then mesoporous materials are characterized by SEM,N2 adsorption-desorption and so on.The results show that the better synthesis technology of SBA-15 is not to add glycerol under static conditions,the dispersion of SBA-15 is better,and the average pore size reached to 12.56 nm,and the pore volume was2.03 cm3g-1.The SBA-15 was treated by the silane coupling agent?KH-560?,then the mesoporous materials are characterized by FT-IR,TGA,N2 adsorption-desorption and so on.The results show that the KH-560 was successfully grafted onto the inside and outside surface of SBA-15,the mass percent of silane coupling agent in the SBA-15 was about 8.1%,and the mesoporous materials still remained high surface area,large pore size and pore volume by modified with couple agent,which can be introduce the polymer chains in pore channels of SBA-15.The SBA-15/epoxy resin composite materials were prepared by melt-blending method and curing process,which used the monodisperse SBA-15 as reinforcing agents with the addition of 5 wt%contents,dispersing SBA-15 in epoxy resin by means of coupling treatment and mechanical agitation.The results showed that the strengthening effects were more obvious by adding SBA-15 treated by coupling agent,and the properties of composite materials were improved greatly by adding the SBA-15 with enlarged pore size under static conditions.Compared with pure epoxy resin,the impact strength,flexural strength and tensile modulus of composites were increased by 22.2%,7.8%and 19.8%,respectively.the initial storage modulus had also been improved,and the peak of loss tangent had moved to the higher temperature,expressing the glass transition temperature increased by 4?.The initial decomposition temperature and the glass transition temperature of the composites had respectively been increased by 17.74?and 5?characterized by DSC and TGA.
