Interior space as an important occasion of daily life,the air quality indoor affects directly people's health.With the rapid development of domestic economy,various indoor air pollution sources are increasing gradually,and the types of air pollutants are also diversified.Indoor air pollutants mainly include the following categories: particulate pollutants,gaseous pollutants and microbial pollutants,among them gaseous pollutants can enter the human body through breathing and skin infiltration which causes serious damage to human nervous system and hematopoietic system.With the continuous improvement of people's demands on the quality of work and life,more and more attention has been paid to the problem of indoor air pollution.How to deal with various kinds of air pollutants efficiently and effectively has become an urgent problem to be solved.Currently adsorption methods of air purification have attracted more and more attention due to their wide application range,high adsorption efficiency,low energy consumption and the reusability of adsorbents.In order to adsorb indoor air pollutants efficiently,paper based silica gel adsorbents are applied to air purification filter element to achieve efficient adsorption of indoor air pollutants and the reusability of filter elements.By comparing the current common air purification technologies,the adsorption method with wide application range,low energy consumption and reusable adsorbent was chosen as the main method.According to the characteristics of many pollutants,such as polarity and molecular size,silica gel is selected as the adsorption material for air purification.In order to expand the application scope of silica gel,silica gel is embedded in paperbased material and porous paper-based material is applied to air purification filter core to achieve efficient adsorption of indoor air pollutants.Using wood pulp fiber paper and ceramic fiber paper as porous substrates,paper based silica gel adsorbent was made by gluing repeatedly,immersing the paper porous substrate in silica sol and then drying them in oven several times.The adsorption properties of the samples were tested and the mathematical models of isothermal adsorption and dynamic adsorption of the new material were obtained by fitting analysis.The air purification filter element based on paper-based silica gel adsorbent was tested under the national standard test conditions,focusing on the adsorption efficiency and capacity of the filter element under the conditions of different times of gelling,different pollutants and regeneration or not.The experimental results show that the new air purification filter element has characteristics of high adsorption efficiency,large adsorption capacity and reusability.This study provides a theoretical and experimental basis for the application of this new material in indoor air purification filter.
