The high concentration of emulsified oil wastewater is mainly discharged from machinery processing and other industries,and has become an important hidden danger to the ecosystem due to the use of dispersion,stable performance and hard to degrade.It is a difficult and hot issue in wastewater treatment.Therefore,in this study,an ultra-light carbon foams with good adsorption performance and large adsorption capacity for oil sewage were developed,and the nano-sized fiber mineral attapulgite with certain adsorption performance and reinforcement was used as reinforcement to further prepare attapulgite-reinforced carbon foams composites.The adsorption properties of ultra-light carbon foams and attapulgite-reinforced carbon foams on emulsified oil in the wastewater were studied and the adsorption characteristics and adsorption mechanism were also discussed.Aniline was used as carbon source,and the reactive functional group-NO2 was grafted onto the opposite position of NH2-by nitrification,then treated by sulfonation and foaming to obtain carbon foams with ultra-light and high-performance properities.In order to increase the strength of carbon foams and improve the water resistance,the activated attapulgite was used as reinforcement and added to the preparation of the carbon foams to obtain attapulgite-reinforced carbon foams composite.The results showed that when the concentration of concentrated sulfuric acid was added 3 ml and the foaming temperature was 180°C,the light carbon foams with the best performance was obtained.On this basis,when the amount of attapulgite was added 0.050 g,the attapulgite fibers were dispersed in the light carbon foams to increase the compressive strength of the composite,and the density,pore volume,specific surface area reached optimal state.The attapulgite-reinforced carbon foams have the best performance in adsorption.The effects of the dosage of two adsorbents,concentration of emulsified oil,adsorption temperature,adsorption time and pH on the removal efficiency of emulsified oil and the chemical oxygen demand?COD?were systematically investigated by static adsorption method.Adsorption experiments showed that emulsified oil concentration in waste water reduced to 15.05 mg/L and COD concentration decreased to 70 mg/L,meeting the COD primary emission standard in the mechanical industry standard JS 7740-95,when the dosage of attapulgite reinforced carbon foams was 0.500 g/100 ml,the temperature was298 K,the emulsified oil concentration was 2020 mg/L,COD concentration was 1999mg/L,the pH was 7.6,and the amount of FeCl3 was 0.10 ml.The study found that the adsorption kinetics of carbon foams and attapulgite reinforced carbon foams for emulsified oil could be well described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic model,and the activation energy during the adsorption process were 14.92 and11.11 kJ/mol,respectively,indicating that the adsorption of the two materials on the emulsified oil was physical-chemical adsorption.Thermodynamic studies show that the adsorption of light foam carbon and attapulgite enhanced foam carbon to emulsified oil was a spontaneous reaction process.Adsorption isotherm studies showed that the adsorption of light carbon foams and attapulgite reinforced carbon foams on emulsified oils were in accordance with the Freundlich model,with 1/n between 0 and 1,which further proved to be favorable for adsorption.The above experiments proved that two kinds of carbon foams materials have an extraordinary good performance in oily wastewater treatment,and have good application prospects in environmental treatment.
