Hyperbranched polymer is a kind of highly branched polymers with the advantages of high solubility,low viscosity,versatility,high reactivity and so on.Chloromethylstyrene?CMS?is a bifunctional monomer,which capable of preparing h-PCMS with hyperbranched structure by controlled radical polymerization.In this study,different of structures like the star-shaped and comb-shaped multimonomer hyperbranch graft copolymers were prepared by the grafting-from technique from the initiation sites,the benzyl chloride groups on the PCMS segments,with atom transfer radical polymerization?ATRP?.The content of this study is mainly divided into the following aspects.?1?Preparation of hyperbranched and linear PCMS.Hyperbranched h-PCMS1900?subscript molecular weight,the same below;PDI=2.10?and linear PCMS5700?PDI=1.14?were prepared from monomer CMS by atom transfer radical polymerization?ATRP?and reversible addition-fragmentation radical polymerization?RAFT?respectively.?2?Preparation of star hyperbranched graft polymer.Hyperbranched h-PCMS used as a macroinitiator,methacrylates?MMA,EMA or BMA?and GMA as mixed monomers,star-shaped hyperbranched graft copolymers,PCMS1900-g-P?MMA-co-GMA?14000,h-PCMS1900-g-P?EMA-co-GMA?21000and h-PCMS1900-g-P?BMA-co-GMA?270007000 were prepared by ATRP technology.The factors affecting the grafting reaction were investigated and the reaction conditions were optimized.When the reaction temperature is 60°C,the reaction time is 6 h,and the monomer solvent ratio is 1:3,a series of hyperbranched star-shaped polymer with good PDI distribution?PDI=1.511.62?can be obtained.?3?Preparation of comb-shaped hyperbranched graft polymer.Comb-shapedhyperbranchedgraftcopolymer,PCMS5700-g-P?MMA-co-GMA?48000,PCMS5700-g-P?EMA-co-GMA?54000 and PCMS5700-g-P?BMA-co-GMA?47000,were prepared by ATRP technique using linear PCMS as macroinitiator.The reaction conditions were optimized.The product is characterized by 1H NMR.It is proved that grafting rate is 3657%.In this study,a hyper-branched multi-graft copolymer with two different structures,star-shaped and comb-shaped,was prepared by controlled radical polymerization.It provided a research basis for further study of the relationship between structure and properties of hyperbranched polymers.
