With the rapid development of industrialization in China,the demand and performance requirements for precision alloy are becoming higher.Induction furnace has become an important equipment for the production of precision alloy due to its features such as fast heating speed,high production efficiency,high temperature control precision and superior working environment.In the non-vacuum induction furnace smelting process,the slag which matches with t smelting process and having comprehensive metallurgical properties has direct influence on metal melt and product quality.As there are many kinds of precision alloys with different properties,the single slag can play a certain metallurgical performance in the process of precision alloy smelting,but it cannot improve the quality and performance of the alloy specifically.Therefore,it is particularly important to design and study the slag for induction furnace smelting of different kinds of precision alloys.The selection of slag in the traditional steelmaking process is relatively mature,while the Mn72NiCu18 alloy has few refining slag matching with its melting process in the actual melting process,which is usually dominated by mixture of potassium chloride and salt or cryolite.Study combining the refiing slag of match with the process of Mn72Ni10Cu18,which is the high temperature layer of precision alloy 5J20110.analyzed slag phase diagram data sets of different ingredients,choose K2CO3-SiO2-CaO-CaF2-M gO slag series and CaF2-NaCl-Na3AlF6-Al2O3-ZrO2 slag series,on the basis of th ermodynamic software Factsage.Design experimental scheme by the Orthogonal te st.Through the XRD and SEM,studied the effect of different components of slag on melting temperature.On the basis of the above experiments,univariate meth od was used for experimental verification,and the pre-melting refined slag match ing the induction furnace smelting process of Mn72Ni10Cu18 precision alloy was obtained.The research results of premelting refining slag were verified experimentally and compared with that before the premelting slag was not used.The results showed that the premelting slag studied in the experiment had better metallurgical properties,improved the quality of Mn72Ni10Cu18 ingot,reduced the skinning thickness,reduced the production cost,and improved the product quality at the same time.The Mn72Ni10Cu18 smelting process was stabilized through the experimental study of premelting slag,which supplemented the database of precision alloy refining slag of this series,and provided referential experience for the experimental study of other precision alloy refining slag.
