In the single-based propellant,the mass fraction of nitrocellulose exceeds 95%,so the study of nitrocellulose is an important part of the study of single-based propellant.Based on the M10 formula,the effects of different nitrogen content on the performance of single-based propellant were studied.And by adding different types of auxiliary solvents with a mass fraction of 3%to form various ternary mixed solvents,the solubility and mechanical properties of high-nitrogen nitrocellulose are improved.On this basis,RDX particles with a mass fraction of 3%are added to prepare a modified single-based propellant.The structure of different nitrogen-containing nitrocellulose and its nitrogen content are tested by energy spectrum and infrared analysis.The combustion performance is analyzed by a closed explosive test.The effects of different auxiliary solvents on the mechanical properties of high nitrogen content single-based propellants and the effects of RDX on single-based propellants were investigated by tensile test,compression test and impact test.The results show that the higher the nitrogen content of nitrocellulose,the more the-OH group is replaced by the-NO2 group.The high nitrogen content single-based propellant has higher energy,faster burning speed and weaker mechanical properties.The mechanical properties of the single-based propellant prepared by adding auxiliary solvent are obviously improved,and the combustion law is consistent with the basic single-based propellant law,but the energy is reduced to different degrees.The single-based propellant prepared by adding 3%of butyl acetate has better comprehensive mechanical properties.Compared with the basic single-based propellant,the low-temperature impact strength is improved by 23.04%,and the high-temperature tensile strength and compressive strength are respectively increased by 11.25%and 15.02%,but its energy drops by 2.04%.By adding 3%RDX,the energy loss caused by the preparation of the single-based propellant from the auxiliary solvent can be improved,and the mechanical strength can be ensured.The experimental results show that the energy after adding 3%RDX is 1.27%higher than that of the basic single-based propellant,especially at low temperature,the impact strength can be increased by 10.29%.
