In order to study the influence law of mechanical properties of composite energetic materials,the research object is the gun propellant formula system with nitrocellulose(NC),nitroglycerin(NG),1,5-diazido-3-nitroazapentane(DIANP),nitroguanidine(NGU)and RDX as the main component.The pendulum impact tester was used to characterize the radial impact strength of the gun propellant,and the drop impact tester was used to characterize the axial impact resistance of the gun propellant.The effects of different factors such as NC nitrogen content,energy-containing plasticizer,solid energy-filled filler,filler content,filler particle size and gradation,and filler coating treatment on the mechanical properties of propellant were designed and studied.The results show that:(1)In an energetic binder system,the effect of nitrogen content of NC on the mechanical properties of propellant is related to temperature.At 0?,the high nitrogen content of the NC in the propellant has good radial impact strength and axial impact strength.At the low temperature conditions of-40?,as the nitrogen content of NC increases,the radial impact strength and axial impact strength of the gun propellant were significantly reduced.The use of NG and DIANP as a mixed energetic plasticizer has a better plasticizing effect on NC binder.Compared with NG single energy-containing plasticizer,its homogeneous gun propellant and heterogeneous gun propellant has good radial impact strength at various temperatures.At 0? and-20?,Due to better toughness,it is easy to cause large deformation under the impact of falling weight.At-40?,the axial impact resistance is better that the gun propellant containing NG and DIANP as mixed energetic plasticizers.(2)The type of solid energetic filler and its content on the mechanical properties of the gun propellant are related to temperature.NGU gun propellant has high radial impact strength at-40?.RDX gun propellant has higher radial impact strength at 20?,0? and-20?.RDX gun propellant has good axial impact resistance at all temperatures.In RDX gun propellant and NGU gun propellant,as the filler content increases,the radial impact strength and axial impact strength of the propellant are not obvious at 0?.At-20? and-40?,the radial impact strength and axial impact strength of the propellant decreased.(3)Test samples containing 10?m-size RDX have the best low-temperature impact strength.The 50?m-grade particle size specification RDX has severe fragmentation and the low-temperature mechanical properties of the gun propellant sample are poor.The 1?m RDX is not easily distributed uniformly in the NC binder system,resulting in a decrease in the low temperature mechanical properties of the gun propellant sample.The grading of the RDX particle size helps to improve the radial impact strength and axial impact strength of the RDX gun propellant.The surface coating treatment of RDX with an appropriate amount of KH550 bonding agent has a positive effect on improving the low temperature mechanical properties of the propellant.
