In order to synthesize thiacalix[4]arene cuprous ion coordination polymers and inorganic-organic hybrids, three new cuprous ion coordination polymers with different structures,[Cu2?CN??L??OCH3?]·CH3OH·3H2O?1?,[Cu3?Br?3?L?]?2?and [Cu?I??L?]·1.5H2O?3?and two inorganic-organic hybrids with same structures,[Ni2L2?H2O?2][SiW12O40]·3H2O?4?and [Co2L2?H2O?2][CoW12O40]·3H2O?5?have been solvothermally prepared by a pyridyl-functionalized thiacalix[4]arene ligand L.1 and 2 exhibit layers.3 displays a chain, and a supramolecular layer is constructed by hydrogen-bonds.4 and 5 display 3D frameworks which contain polyoxometalates.2 shows good stability in organic solvents and different pH solutions,3 is unstable in organic solvents and different pH solutions. The performance of 1-3 was examined for azide and alkyne cycloaddition reaction. Most strikingly,1 and 2 show predominant efficiency with high regioselectivity and excellent recyclability.Furthermore, solid 1-3 all have luminescent characteristics under a UV lamp.As the temperature increases, the luminous intensity decreases.4 and 5 are stable in different pH solutions. The electrocatalytic performances of 4 and 5 were examined. Both of them show efficiency for reduction of sodium bromate and oxidation of ascorbic acid.
