Water-based polyurethane(WPU)material inherits the excellent performance of traditional solvent-based polyurethane.Using water as a dispersant not only reduces the pollution of volatile organic compounds(VOC),but also gives the material a unique physical chemistry due to its special structure.nature.Adjustable soft and hard,good wear resistance,weather resistance and adhesion have outstanding performance.Water-based polyurethane materials with excellent characteristics are widely used in various fields of daily life such as coatings,construction,transportation,and textiles.However,WPU materials are not perfect,and have the disadvantages of poor water resistance,poor mechanical performance,and poor light resistance.Therefore,in order to meet the rapidly developing society,adapt to the diversified needs of different fields,and expand the application range of polyurethane,we conducted a series of researches on polyurethane modification.The main research contents are presented in the text as follows:(1)Using polytetrahydrofurandiol(PTMG)and isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI)as the main raw materials,supplemented with various additives,pure WPU emulsion is prepared and made into a film.After the waterborne polyurethane prepolymer is prepared from the same raw materials,different proportions of epoxy resin(EP)are introduced,the salt-forming agent is neutralized,and a series of epoxy resin modified waterborne polyurethane(PUE)composite emulsions are obtained by high-speed shear dispersion To produce PUE film.The study found that when the content of EP in the material continues to rise,it has outstanding performance in mechanical properties,thermal stability,water resistance and so on.However,when the EP content reaches 11%,the material properties are reduced.Experimental results show that epoxy resin can improve the performance of waterborne polyurethane materials,but excessive epoxy resin will cause adverse effects on the material.(2)Adjust the amount of bismethylol propionic acid(DMPA),hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA),and triethylamine(TEA)through the control variable method to prepare a series of synergistic modification of epoxy resin and acrylate Water-based polyurethane(WPUEA)composite emulsion,made of film.After performing various performance tests,it was found that when the amount of DMPA is too small,the overallperformance of the material is affected.When the content of DMPA reaches 12%,the performance is the best.When the blocking amount of HEMA reaches 50%,the overall performance of the material is the best.When it exceeds 50%,the film will become brittle and wrinkled.The neutralization amount of TEA needs to reach 100%.TEA affects the stability of the emulsion on the one hand,and affects the mechanical properties and water resistance of the material on the other hand.The epoxy resin and acrylate film modified synergistically were prepared at the best ratio.Compared with WPU and PUE films,the material's water resistance and thermal stability were significantly improved,and other aspects of mechanical properties were further improved.
