In the production of fine iron powder,more and more beneficiation plants use the dry discharge method to treat the main waste-tailings.In the tailings dry discharge process,in order to improve the sedimentation efficiency,the concentrator often installs a flocculant addition system in the sedimentation tank.However,the concentration of tailings slurry flowing into the sedimentation tank changes from time to time.In order to save costs and reduce waste,the concentration of the tailings slurry must be detected online to control the valve opening of the flocculant addition system.This subject is based on the background of dry tailings discharge,taking the concentration of tailings slurry discharged into the sedimentation tank as a practical application,using ultrasonic attenuation method as the theoretical basis,and performing numerical analysis through MATLAB.Finally,an experimental platform is designed and verified by experiment.With the experimental method to show the feasibility of ultrasonic method to measure the slurry concentration.This article first briefly describes the research background and research status of the selected topic,and describes the current method of measuring the solid-liquid two-phase flow concentration,and selects the ultrasonic method as the measurement method for this subject.Then,the types of ultrasonic attenuation were analyzed.The MATLAB software was used to numerically analyze the scattering attenuation,viscous attenuation,and thermal conduction attenuation.The influence of frequency,particle size,concentration and other factors on the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient was discussed through the control variable method.Secondly,the experimental platform was designed and built.Two experimental methods were proposed,and a direct shot was selected.The entire ultrasonic slurry concentration detection system is mainly composed of a single-chip microcomputer system,a DC bias circuit,a power amplifier circuit,an oscilloscope,a transmitting transducer and a receiving transducer,to explore and solve the problems encountered in the design process.The built experimental platform can complete the measurement of attenuation coefficient,and it is stable and reliable.Finally,the experiment was conducted using the experimental platform.First,static and dynamic concentration measurement experiments were carried out.By changing the size of tailings slurry concentration,the relationship between concentration and attenuation coefficient was obtained.Then control the particle size and concentration unchanged in the experiment.By changing the flow rate,temperature and the content of the foaming agent,the relationship between the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient and the flow rate,temperature and bubbles was explored.Accuracy.In addition,a specific system design was carried out for the detection system,including the installation method in the concentrator,the design of the schematic diagram,the cleaning and maintenance methods,etc.
