As an important cultural symbol in traditional folk life, firecrackers and fireworks have always been a mass commodity in mass consumer goods, and China has always been a major producer, consumer and exporter of fireworks.Since the late Qing Dynasty, with the increasingly close globalization of trade and the increasing promotion of Hong Kong and Macao's trade transfer status,Guangzhou-Macao-Hong Kong has gradually become the hub of fireworks import and export trade in South China and even the whole country, and the trade between the three places was also complicated. This thesis selects Chinese Maritime Customs Historical Materials:1859?1948(?????????)as the main historical data basis, and makes a comprehensive use of various forms of documents such as government bulletins, historical materials compilation, newspapers and periodicals, monographs and papers, etc.to sort out and analyze the import and export trade of fireworks and firecrackers in Guangzhou,Macao and Hong Kong since the late Qing Dynasty. At the same time,it studies the different trade mechanisms, trade firms and organizations and control policies in the three places to explore the influence of the times and political background on trade. This thesis is mainly divided into four chapters: The first chapter analyzes the fireworks trade in Guangzhou, mainly focusing on the trade with domestic trading ports, with Hong Kong, and with overseas countries and regions. The second chapter discusses the import and export of Macao's fireworks trade and its trade links with Guangzhou,Hong Kong and other Chinese ports. The third chapter analyzes the relationship between Hong Kong's import and export trade and Macao, mainland ports and overseas markets. The fourth chapter compares the similarities and differences of the rules and regulations of the three places in four aspects: the control of fireworks and firecrackers raw materials, the distribution of plant sites, the use of fireworks and firecrackers, and the transportation and storage.Besides the study of trade, there are also brief discussions on the trade systems and trade organizations of the three places.
