At present, with the increase of national car ownership, a series of social problemssuch as the increasing energy demand,the serious environmental pollution Road trafficcongestion and frequent traffic accidents also are rising.Governments and each bigautomobile manufacturers are trying to explore how to solve the car use demand and thesocial problems generated by this contradiction.As a green energy of the electric car hasbeen used more and more widely.Therefore, further expand the related research of electricvehicle adaptive cruise system for energy conservation to reduce environmentalpollution,to improve road utilization rate and to increase traffic safety has importantpractical significance.Based on vast research work for adaptive cruise control system at home and abroad,In view of the traditional internal combustion engine vehicle for excessive energyconsumption and serious pollution to the environment,compared to traditional the workingprinciple of the ACC system, this paper designed the overall scheme of electric vehicleadaptive cruise control system. In defining the suitable for electric vehicle ACC system onthe basis of the various functional modules, the key technology to realize the system andits realization way are discussed in this paperWith the aid of powerful modeling function of Matlab/Simulink and Carsim software,the electric car vehicle dynamics model is established.The work above is prepared for thefollowing study of electric vehicle adaptive cruise control system.The electric vehicleadaptive cruise control system control strategy are studied.The strategy of driver activeintervention and system between each model each switch and driving/braking control isformulated.On the basis of the safety distance model, the paper developed a algorithm ofsafe distance.A suitable PID speed control algorithm of the electric car motor and thedistance control algorithm of the requirement of system functions was designed in thispaper.To verify that the design of the system is reasonable, this paper used the goodinteractivity of the Matlab/Simulink and CarSim software to set up the whole simulationmodel of the electric vehicle ACC system. Then, the model was combined simulation inthe common several kinds of conditions. The simulation results show that the model andthe algorithms meet the requirements into electric vehicle adaptive cruise system, and canprovide reference for the related research in the future.
