With the rapid development of economy, the energy demand is increasing sharply, and the power demand difference between the peak and off-peak period is growing significantly. The energy consumption of the air conditioning in buildings accountes for a large proportion in the peak load of electricity. The cool storage air conditioning could take full advantage of the off-peak electricity power to meet the power demand in the time of the peak load of electricity, which is an effective measure to balance the peak and off-peak load of electricity and improve the energy efficiency. As an important component of the cool storage air conditioning, the cool storage medium is always one of the focus of the study on cool storage air conditioning. The latent heat of phase change and cool storage density of hydrate are high, and cool storage air conditionings using hydrate as a cool storage medium could meet the demands of normal operating situations, because the cool storage temperature is the same as which of the chilled water in air conditioning, making hydrate a good cool storage medium with obvious advantages and broad application prospects. However, the hydration always accours on the limited phase interface only, due to that most cool storage mediums are insoluble in water, the mass transfer between cool storage medium and water is hindered, leading to the long induction time, high supercoiling degree, large instability, and low conversion rate of hydrate. To solve these problems is the key to the application of the hydrate cool storage technology, which has always been the study focus in this field. In order to expand the phase interface, promote the heat and mess transfer as well as the dissolution between refrigerant and water, experiments on different surfactants(SDS,T80,Span80)and assistant of surfactant(n-BA)were studied,to find out the effects on heat and mess transfer, induction time, generation rate and cool storage capacity.Besides, effects of different metal forms, and adding copper wire and surfactants separately or simultaneously are also studied,to figure out the best mass concentration and mixture ratio. In addition,a new solution was proposed preliminary in which a phase change material compound(CA-DE)was used as additives to promote the formation of hydrate, and parameters, for example, the mass concentration, has been studied, too.
