The Research Of Sanitary Ware Design Adapting To The Aged

During the 13 th Five-Year Plan period,China will be finished building a moderately prosperous society in all respects,people’s living standards and health care are improving,the average life span extended universal,so it is gradually stepped into the aging society in China.At present,the China’s elderly supplies industry is still in its infancy,the company which involved in product design and production for the aged,although aware of the importance of the product market for the aged,but the sanitary ware design adapting to the aged are rare.The sanitary ware is personal hygiene-related products,usually contacted with the human body.The rational design point of the sanitary ware is relating the people’s health and safety.The sanitary ware adapting to the aged,it is suitable for the aged using and at the same time meet personal hygiene needs for the aged when they go to the toilet,washing,bathing.And it also pay close attention,care and love from the designers to the aged.Therefore,the research of sanitary ware design adapting to the aged is the starting point of this paper.By the research of the sanitary ware design for the elderly at home and abroad,by the investigation of the elderly physiological characteristics,psychological characteristics and way of life,and through the simulation experiments on the elderly sanitary behavior,we analysis the design point of the sanitary ware for the elderly and the feasibility of the sanitary ware design adapting to the aged.And then summarized the sanitary ware design adapting to the aged for the elderly demand characteristics,discuss the design principles and design elements,and strive this paper can provide a theoretical reference in the sanitary ware design adapting to the aged.
