With the rapid development of highway construction in western China,expressway construction has a lot of carbonaceous shale in the distribution area.Carbonaceous shale is a kind of soft rock,water softening,disintegration characteristics and easily leads to slope collapse,landslides and other geological disasters.The deformation and failure of the carbonaceous shale slope has become a major bottleneck in highway construction in the area.The deformation characteristics of slope under different conditions is studied through laboratory test,numerical simulation and centrifugal model test.The results can provide a theoretical basis for the design and protection of the carbonaceous shale slope.The achievement of this paper are as follows:(1)Through indoor test,the carbonaceous shale mechanical parameters are obtained.The use of highly weathered coal shale and gypsum and water according to a certain proportion to meet the requirements of the similar material composition.Related physical and mechanical tests to the similar material,analysing the test data by the least square method and get the carbonaceous shale similar materials physical and mechanical parameters,to provide a basis for numerical simulation analysis and centrifuge model test..(2)Based on centrifugal model tests,the carbonaceous shale slope of the slope settlement,the horizontal displacement of slope is studied under the condition of the different slope angle,slope height,obliquity of rock etc.The corresponding variation laws are obtained through the analysis of variables.(3)Using the software FLAC3 D simulation calculation of the different slope angle,slope height,obliquity of rock under the condition of the carbonaceous shale slope deformation characteristics,through analyzing of the result,the slope horizontal displacement,vertical displacement and shear strain variation of carbonaceous shale were obtained.The test results show that the data obtained from the centrifuge model tests are generally larger than those obtained by numerical simulation,but the slope deformation laws obtained by the two methods are consistent.
