In recent years,Pumped storage power station as a quick and effective way to make the Power plant more safe and stable.The Pumped storage power plant is becoming increasingly important.While usually the plant's head is high,and the long pipe length,high flow inertia can easily cause water hammer with the switch on and off.Especially when dual load rejection transient water hammer pressure's control,volute pressure and the inertia of the water which are caused by water hammer are the focus of the safe operation.If it dosen't work well,then it will cause serious accidents.Therefore,this article focus on water hammer simulation and dual-load rejection test to have a comprehensive analysis and study of hydraulic characteristics of dual-load rejection.Firstly,according to the hydraulic transition process' characteristics of pumped storage power station' s water conveyance system and pump turbine,and the theory of large fluctuations in the hydraulic characteristics,build a pumped storage power station transient process math-ematical model,what's more based on pumped storage power station complex condition characteristics develop transition process conditions.Secondly,according to the design parameters of water conveyance system,the Xianyou pumped storage power station units and field conditions,make a series of simulates on different conditions.Focusing on monitoring changes in water pressure of casing,draft tube inlet water pressure,and other unit speed curve and characteristic curve parameters(initial value,maximum,minimum,and time of occurrence)comparative analysis,while effectively improve calculation model and numerical simulation software.Finally,thinking about the Xianyou pumped storage power station' s situation,make a detail plan about the double load rejection test,the risk assessment analysis,and the way to solve it.The plant 1 and 2 of Xianyou pumped storage power have a 50%,75%and 100%double load rejection.By comparing the simulation results of dual load rejection and the dual load rejection test in Xianyou pumped storage power station,the correctness of the simulation calculation and the reliability of the unit operation are verified.
