Calculation And Analysis On The Factors Of Affecting The Water Footprint In China

For long time,water resource is closely related to human's production and living.With the development of economy and the growth of population,the shorthage of water resources is increasingly serious,and even to be a threath to human's survival and development and then how to solve the water shortage problem is unavoidable all over the world,especially for an acute shortage of our country,to solve the problem of shortage of water resources is imminent.Water footprint provides a new perspective of human's use of water resources,and more comprehensive method of measuring human's use of water resources.But the greater the water footprint,means that the bigger water pressure,and the greater the ecological balance is threatened.Therefore,need to alleviate the pressure of the water resources,reducing the water footprint,analysising the factors of influencing water footprint,and put forward feasible opinions and suggestions to alleibate water pressure and reduce shortages of water resources.On the basis of analyzing the current utilization situation of the water resources in our country,measuring the provincial water footprint in our country,and puts forward the factors of influencing water footprint,and through the panel data model to analyze the influencing degree of various factors.Through the measurement of water footprint found that:from 1998 to 2012,our country's water footprint presents the rising trend,some provinces remains the same,just fluctuating,water footprint big province is mainly developed economy,populous eastern region.In water footprint,the department of agriculture accounted for the largest,accounting for 60%to70%of the total water footprint.life,ecological water accounts for only a few part.With panel data model analysis found that:gross domestic product(GDP)of water footprint of elasticity is positive,and the proportion of the tertiary industry is negative,technical factors on the water footprint of elasticity is positive,the ministry of foreign trade on water footprint of elasticity is unsure.The influencing degree of the factors for each province water footprint is different,in general,the influencing degree of the foreign trade is smaller than any other factors,the influencing degree of the factors to different provinces in order are also different.Therefore,to alleviate the pressure of water,reduce water footprint,alleviate the shortage of water resources,we must develop the third industry,improve the proportion of the tertiary industry.At the same time,to take advantage of technology,improve the efficiency of using water,conservate water.In addition,by implementing the strategy of virtual water,through the way of trade,importing water resources intensive products,instead of in local producing,saving local water,to obtain the objection of alleviate some regions water shortages.
