Visibility is one of the key factors for road safety.Aiming at the shortcomings of high cost,complicated installation and limited scope of monitoring,this thesis presents a road speed limit monitoring system based on digital image processing and support vector machine.The system consists of three parts:visibility detection algorithm,visibility monitoring site and visibility monitoring center.In this thesis,a road visibility detection algorithm based on digital image processing and support vector machine is proposed,which establishes different visibility detection models for day and night.For the daytime visibility detection,it extracts the image eigenvalues of visibility,such as transmittance,Weber contrast and global gradient values,and which are used to do the multi-classification training of support vector machine(SVM).For the nighttime image,it extracts the contrast image,power spectrum and global gradient values as input for SVM model training.The simulation results show that the multi-classification detection error of visibility does not exceed 10%,and the algorithm can meet the visual characteristics of human eye.Visibility monitoringsite is consisted of Exynos4412 processor,SIM808 module,camera acquisition module,radar speed,LED display module and environmental acquisition module and other hardware components.The current road image is acquired by the camera,and the visibility value is obtained from the visibility detection algorithm.According to road speed limit given by the visibility test,it sends a speed limit reminder to the vehicle by the LED speed limit module.The radar speed can be measured from the vehicle speed and compare the set limits for real-time monitoring.This thesis also designed a visibility monitoring center,which can be unified management and scheduling of each visibility monitoring site.The monitoring center is based on QT platform development,which is mainly divided into three parts:map positioning module,database management module and remote management module.The map positioning module is mainly used for marking out latitude and longitude information of each detection site on the map intuitively.The data management module includes the management of personnel information and the management of the equipment information.The remote management module is mainly used for the real time scheduling and unified management between the monitoring center to the monitoring site.In this thesis,the road speed limit monitoring system of visibility detection is implemented.The visibility monitoring station can give different speed limit values according to the different visibility results,and can monitor the speeding vehicle in real time.Monitoring center can monitor the activities of each site in real time,view the historical database and remote control.Experimental tests show that the system can run normally and achieve the expected result.Therefore,the design provides a certain solution to the problem of visibility detection,and has some reference significance for intelligent traffic control,auxiliary driving or unmanned technology in the future.
