The Tactical Data Link is a digital information processing system specially developed for modern warfare,which enables the efficient transmission of tactical messages,the command and control of the console,and the coordinated operations of combat weapons,and provides a joint operation for future information-based warfare.Strong technical support.The rapid development of information technology and the higher operational requirements in modern battlefields have prompted countries to invest a lot of resources in researching tactical data links.Tactical Targeting Network Technology(TTNT)is the latest and most advanced tactical data link of the US military.The realization of its key technologies has gradually become a hot topic among research institutions in various countries.The medium access control(MAC)protocol is the key to TTNT tactical data link communication.Its performance directly determines the strength of the entire TTNT tactical data link system's communication transmission capability and the flexibility of networking methods.Therefore,the research on the TTNT tactical data link media access control protocol is of great significance both in the development of communication technology and in the further development of our military tactical data link.The main research goal of this paper is the Statistical Priority-Based Multiple Access(SPMA)protocol adopted by the tactical data link MAC layer of TTNT.It analyzes the characteristics of the queue scheduling algorithm,channel load forecasting algorithm and back-off algorithm from three key technical aspects and implements them.It aims to play a reference role in the overall research of China's TTNT tactical data chain.The main research work of this paper includes the following aspects:Firstly,the tactical data link MAC protocol classification is introduced,and the design requirements of the tactical data link MAC protocol are analyzed.Secondly,the operating mechanism of the MAC protocol of the traditional tactical data link is introduced in detail,including Link4,Link11,Link16 and Link22 tactical data links.The overall performance of the TTNT tactical data link and the design features of the SPMA protocol are further introduced.Then,the working mechanism and operational logic of SPMA protocol are studied.In the absence of technical details,according to the traditional tactical data link MAC protocol and SPMA protocol design features,the SPMA protocol queue scheduling mechanism,channel load forecasting algorithm and the back-off algorithm has been completely designed and improved.Finally,SPMA protocol is simulated by OPNET Modeler simulation platform.The simulation scenarios of SPMA protocol queue scheduling algorithm,channel load prediction algorithm and back-off algorithm are designed with simulation scenarios of different network sizes and traffic loads.Simulation results show that the improved queuing scheduling algorithm can effectively avoid the problem of "hungering" of low-priority data packets under the premise of guaranteeing quality of service(QoS)mechanism;newly designed channel load prediction algorithm based on dynamic threshold can accurately predict the load value of the current channel;the newly designed back-off algorithm can effectively balance the high throughput and low latency performance under various channel loads.
