Most of soft clay Foundation treatment method is using gravity drainage consolidation method,heaped load preloading and vacuum preloading method and so on.But for moisture content high or is in a State of plastic cement slurry of mud and clay,using these methods is very low,it is difficult to achieve the expected results,the main reason is this type of soil permeability is very small.Electro-Osmotic Consolidation is more promising,however,unrelated to their consolidation and permeability of the soil,and concretion speed,safety and high performance,in many works in recent years has been the promotion and application,but Electro-Osmotic Consolidation also has some issues to be resolved,such as the metal electrode corrosion,power consumption and other problems.This paper starts from the basic principle of electroosmosis,focuses on the influence of electrode materials on electro-osmosis,electro-osmosis in the engineering applications where power consumption problems and electro-osmosis process.The main work and achievements are as follows:1.The author discusses the development of electro-osmosis process,current research status and its application in geotechnical engineering;Electro-osmosis mechanism are discussed in detail and outlines of Electro-Osmotic method characteristics and application range.2.Metal iron electrode electro-osmosis for detailed and summarized under the soil parameters after the Electro-Osmotic changes,summarized the characteristics of metallic iron electrode electro-osmosis case.3.First proposed the concept of mixed electrode,mixed electrode is for electro osmotic anode and cathode is made of metal electrode material or non metal electrode material combination,that is,an anode,a cathode electroosmosis tests with different materials.4.Use itself development test device,to Liaoning a engineering soft clay for test object,for has more group mixed electrode test:to metal iron electrode and non-metallic carbon fiber electric is cathode or anode different combination of indoor electric infiltration drainage consolidation test,through monitoring displacement,and drainage rate,and current,and units displacement energy,and energy,and moisture,and units energy displacement,and and test before and after soil body of hosted force size changes,research has electrode material on electric infiltration drainage test of effect,Proved non-metallic electrodes instead of the metal electrode as the advantages of Electro-Osmotic Consolidation of soft clay,and electro-osmosis is given regular physical and mechanical parameters of the soil before and after.
