With the rapid development of China's economy,large span continuous rigid frame bridge and cable-stayed bridge have sprung up in the construction of bridges.With many conditions and factors,in the design of the lower structure,piers designed to be short pier can not be avoided.For rigid-frame bridge,the structural form of thin-walled pier or double-limb thin-walled pier is usually used to improve the flexibility of the dwarf pier,so as to meet the longitudinal deformation caused by the beam temperature and shrinkage-creep effect of the short pier of rigid-frame system.This article takes Changde Yuan-Shui four bridge as the engineering background,this paper proposes a new type of double-limb pier with gap,which has the advantages of good ductility performance of common double pier and small space of single pier,and saves cost,and optimizes the layout and structure of the structures and enhances the horizontal thrust ultimate bearing capacity.It is necessary to discuss the mechanical properties of this new double-limb pier with gap,and a lot of test data are needed to verify it.This article mainly carries on the following several aspects research:(1)According to the double-limb pier,the scale model of four different sections is made,and the ultimate bearing capacity and ductility performance of the double-limb pier are analyzed and studied by experiment.The static loading method was used to study and analyze the failure shape,deformation property,bearing capacity and strain of the test pier,through the comparative analysis of the deformation law of four test piers and the ultimate bearing capacity,the mechanical performance of the pier was evaluated rationally.(2)The finite element software ABAQUS is used to establish the solid analysis model of four reinforced concrete test piers for nonlinear finite element calculation,the finite element model calculation results are compared with the test results,on the one hand,the correctness of the test results is validated,and the finite element software simulation analysis The problem of contact slip between concrete and filler in loading process,the change of stress and strain and the force damage are briefly discussed.On the other hand,the validity of the finite element model is validated,which lays a foundation for the discussion of the finite element parameters of the pier(3)By means of orthogonal experiment design and analysis,this paper discusses the influence of the ultimate bearing capacity and ductility of the double pier with joint,and analyzes the influence of the joint material,the strength of concrete,the contact effect of the gap material and the width of the joint.
