Development zones are regions that set up by local governments to promote the regional economy,and it is an important part of China Economy Development and Opening-up Structure.Since 1984,364 national development zones have been set up in our country,including 219 national level economic development zones and 145 national level high-tech zones.In China,due to the unique development process and historical background of development zones,most of the development area will gradually meet the problem of Separation of Workplace and Residence.Job-Housing Balance means the matching relationship between jobs and residence in a certain area.In general,the separation of jobs and residence will cause traffic congestion and air pollution problem in the certain area,which will reduce quality of life,and becoming the bottleneck of the regional economic and social development.Based on the historical background of China’s Urban Development,this paper analyzes a large number of fundamental reasons and resolution strategies for the separation of employment and residence in many development zones in China,and draw lessons from them.Also,finding out the separation problem of BDA through the analysis of the development background and the investigation of the population distribution and traffic commuter.Finally,based on the characteristics of regional policies,this paper puts forward the strategies from aspects of stock,incremental control,optimum structure,regional coordination and self promotion.Aiming to provide references for other development areas with similar problems.
