Battery electric vehicles have zero emission,low noise characteristics,etc.and have gradually become the hot spots chased by major auto manufacturers.The battery is one of the three key technologies of Battery electric vehicles.The excellent battery pack must have high specific energy and specific power,stable electrical performance and good safety,etc.This paper selects the ternary polymer Lithium-ion battery produced by an enterprise as the research object,through experiment and simulation analysis,the battery and module are studied from the mechanics.Several major tasks are as follows:(1)Through check papers,have learned the technical routes of new energy vehicles and power batteries from different manufacturers in China and abroad,and learned about the current status and the future direction of develop new energy vehicles in some countries.(2)The internal structure,working principle and failure mode of lithium-ion battery were studied.The hazards of over-discharge of lithium-ion battery was studied.The pressure experiment device was redesigned,and the experiment of the effect of pressure on the capacity losses of the ternary lithium-ion battery after over-discharge was designed and completed.(3)Based on the results of the mechanics experiments of lithium-ion battery and other data,combined with the parameters such as the maximum power of the target vehicle motor,the maximum cruising range,the cost of battery pack and the reserved space for the battery module,a lithium-ion battery pack was designed and the pack was trial-produced.(4)According to the internal structure and actual size of the batter y,a three-dimensional model was established for the battery and the module using CATIA,and used a software ANSYS to simulate the lithium-ion battery,providing theoretical data for the improvement of the lithium-ion battery pack structure design in the next phase.Applying a certain pressure on the lithium ion battery will suppress the swelling caused by the over-discharge,suppresses the capacity losses(especially in the late cycle life of lithium-ion battery)after over-discharge.By testing lithium battery module later,the lithium battery module has achieved the design requirements,and the overall performance is good.Then I will continue to optimize the battery module.
