Under the background of the rapid development of highway construction in our country today,the status of bridge is very important.Many old bridges appeared the hidden dangers due to the geological,live load,duration and other effects.Usually,the cost of newly built bridges is much higher than the cost of strengthening the old bridges.Therefore,strengthening the old bridges is the best solution to meet the needs of local traffic.Reinforcing the old bridge with steel corrugated board is a strengthening method which has been started to develop in recent years.With the advantages of light weight,convenient transportation,simple construction,short construction period,low cost and good adaptability to deformation,steel corrugated board reinforcement old bridge has good prospects for development.Based on the actual project,the mechanical characteristics of the old bridge reinforced with steel corrugated board are analyzed based on the data collected in the field test and the numerical simulation analysis method.First of all,the experimental data collected in the field.Secondly,the numerical simulation data of the finite element software were compared with the field test data analyze and find out the reasonable finite element numerical model;Finally,using finite element numerical simulation method to systematically study and analyze the different waveform parameters,different thickness and different span of steel corrugated board reinforcement of the old bridge.Conclusions: 1)Under the static state of heavy vehicles,the strain increment at the measuring point of the arch foot shows as the increment of compressive strain,while the vault position shows as the tensile strain increment.2)Under the dynamic effect of heavy vehicles,the overall measuring points of the reinforcement bridge are shown as the increment of compressive strain,the faster the load travels,the smaller the strain increment.3)The strain variation inside the corrugated steel plate of the reinforced bridge is larger under the static test conditions than under the dynamic test conditions.4)No matter in static or dynamic heavy vehicles,the corresponding change trend of strain increment at the bridge midline measurement point and the bridge left lane measurement point of each cross section is similar.When the rear axle of heavy vehicle is located near the vault,Strain increment larger.5)In general,the strain increment value is within 15με,and the reinforcement effect is good.6)For other conditions,the increment of strain decreases with the increase of waveform,decreases with the increase of plate thickness,and increases with the increase of span.7)The tensile strain increment of the old bridge with different corrugation parameters,thickness and span of steel corrugated plate reinforcement appears at the crest of the vault,while the compressive strain increment appears at the crest of the other positions as well as at all troughs.
