With the rapid development of China's infrastructure.Many facilities such as docks,harbours,roads and bridges will encounter more and more karst at the constract time.Therefore,the research of karst area rock socketed pile's bearing mechanism and the failure mode of karst cave and some other problems like this has became a unrgent problem to resolve.In view of this,this article based on the National Natural fund project(no.51278187),unfolding research about the stability of karst area's socketed pile as shown below:At the first,this article make a brief introduction about existin g research of pile.Then it eleborate existing research of karst cave's stability and the minimum safety thickness of cave roof.Finally summed up the interaction mechanism of pile and cave roof.To study karst arear pile's bearing capacity more deeply.This article designd and finished a series of large scale experiment whick based on the similarity theory.Dividing those experiments into three parts as different thickness.And we loaded them into a hierarchical load.We can obtain the rule of load transmi t in different thickness.In addition,we got the pattern diagram of roof failure and their rule of load transmit.Afther that,we use the elastic mechanism's Saint Venant principle to deduce the formula for calculating the minimum safe thickness.And it c oincide with the experiment.To make up for defects that the experiment's negligence of other influence conditions' interfe.And study karst area rock socketed pile's bearing mechanism and the failure mode of karst cave more detailed.This article use the OPTUM G2 to discuss the influence conditions of karst cave roof such as the thickness of cave roof,the figure of mi and GSI,and the horizontal relative distance of pile and cave.And discussing on the failure mode of the cave roof under the influence of d ifferent parameters.
