The circular rail guided vehicle(RGV)system,which is widely used in the material conveying of the automated storage/retrieval system(AS/RS).It is the significant subsystem,playing an important role in improving the working efficiency of the whole system.In the circular RGV system,the number of RGVs and the scheduling of the RGVs determine the operating efficiency of the system.If the number of RGVs is too small,the goods are easily overstocked in the platform.While if the number of RGVs is too large,it is easy to cause the obstruction of the track.Both situations affect the overall efficiency of the system.And the scheduling of the RGVs decides which task is performed by which RGV.The distribution of different task affects the RGV's running or stop,and waiting or avoiding,etc.The scheduling of the RGVs determines the implementation of the system carrying operations,and also profoundly affects the calculation of the RGV's number.It is also closely related to overall system efficiency.Based on the queuing theory,the carrying capacity of the circular RGV system is analyzed and finally the reasonable number of RGVs is determined.A scheduling algorithm based on improved Partheno genetic algorithm is proposed,and the rules of coding,selection,and genetic recombination operation of the improved genetic algorithm are discussed.Through the calculation,simulation and actual project verification,it is proved that the transport efficiency of the circular RGV system is improved effectively.Finally,the designs of the circular RGV system and the implementation of algorithm are analyzed and explained.In addition,an intelligent optimization method is proposed to solve the deficiencies in actual operation.
