The statistical analysis of a large number of seismic damage of bridges shows that the seismic damage of bridge piers is one of the notable features of the bridge damages occurred during the earthquake.Therefore,it has of great significance to analyze the reason of the bridge damages occurred during the earthquake and study the seismic response of bridge piers.Vase-type double-column CFST bridge pier is a new type of pier strcture and the study of dynamic response characteristics of it is less at present.In order to study the seismic response of Vase-type double-column CFST bridge pier and explore the factors which may influence the seismic performance of bridge pier,one urban viaduct was analyzed,In this paper,a finite element analysis model of bridge pier has been established.Finite element analysis software ANSYS has been used for numerical simulation analysis.The main contents of this paper are as follows.(1)In order to study the seismic response of Vase-type double-column CFST bridge pier precisely.In this paper,based on multi-scale method,a multi-scale bridge pier has been established.To accomplish a reliable interfacial coupling between refined element and coarse element,a method was proposed by using general finite element software ANSYS.Meanwhile,a simple model was calculated to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the multi-scale finite element analysis method of the structures.(2)In order to explore the factors that affect the seismic performance of Vase-type double-column CFST pier,in this paper,the seismic response of bridge pier was calculated based on response spectrum method.the factor such as the height of bridge pier,the thickness of steel pipe wall,the camber angle of bridge piers were discussed.The results provide reference for the seismic design of bridge piers.(3)This article compares the response spectrum method with time history method in the difference of bridge piers seismic calculation.The camber angle of bridge piers is different.The results obtained by the response spectrum method are consistent with those obtained by the time-history analysis.When the bridge pier was under the action of longitudinal earthquake,the response spectrum calculation is larger.When the bridge pier was under the action of longitudinal earthquake,the calculation of two methods were affected by the camber angle of bridge piers.
