The Research Of Force Behavior To The Steel Plate Shear Wall With Openings

The structures of the steel plate shear wall consist of the frame beam,the frame column,the embedded steel plate shear with openings,stiffeners as well as middle column.This study built the numerical calculation models of steel plate shear wall without openings,steel plate shear wall with door-openings but without middle column,steel plate shear wall with door-openings and middle columns,steel plate shear wall with window-openings but without stiffener,and steel plate shear wall with window-openings and stiffeners by ANSYS finite element procedure.Firstly,the author made use of the existing experiment results for sake of verifying the availability of the models.Then,the author made a compared investigation on other models.There are several research findings as followings:(1)Study on the elastic buckling of the five numerical calculation models,the author extracted the former five buckling models,out-of-deformation,and the related former five elastic buckling loading.The results showed: The existing of the windows and doors,to a larger extent,decreased the buckling-loading of steel plate shear wall;Adding stiffener around the opening-doors or the opening-windows was able to increase the buckling loading of steel plate shear wall with opening-doors or opening-windows;the out-of-lane deformation of the steel plate shear wall was dramatically increased along the edge of the openings due to the existence of the opening-doors and opening windows.While adding the stiffener(including middle columns)to the edge of the openings could decrease the deformation of it.(2)Study on the carrying capacity of monotonicity loading of the five numerical calculation models.It was aimed to explore deeply their static ultimate carrying capacity,initial stiffness and ductility.In addition,the author also studied the stress and deformation during monotonicity loading process.Eventually,the author researched the static shear carrying capacity of the steel plate shear wall with opening-doors and opening-windows.The findings illustrated that not only the existence of the opening-doors and opening-windows reduced initial stiffness of it,but also decreased the ultimate load-carrying capacity of it.The building of the middle column and stiffeners improved obviously the initial lateral stiffness and ultimate load-carrying capacity for steel plate shear wall with opening-windows.Before reaching the yielding,the steel plate shear wall with opening-doors and opening-windows primarily rely on s stiffness in plate,the lateral stiffness of beam and column to bear the lateral loading.After reaching the yielding drift,the embedded steel plate began to yield.The steel plate surface formed tensile when becoming convex and curve towards surface outside in order to keep on bearing loading outside.When the steel plate shear wall with opening-doors but without middle column,and the steel plate shear wall with opening-windows but without stiffener yielded,the surface outside drift of them became bigger,reaching 2 to 3 times the size of the steel plate shear wall without openings.After putting up stiffener(including middle column),the surface outside drift reduced to 44% to 50%,when the steel plate shear wall with opening-doors and windows yielded.Besides,the situation of tensile field was improved clearly.(3)Study on the natural characteristics of the five numerical calculation models.The author studied the former third model shape and natural frequencies of them.The study found that the building of door-opening and opening-window had a slightly influence on the model shape of the steel plate shear wall.The existence of the stiffener(including column)along the openings' edge made the model shape of the steel plate shear wall with openings extremely similar to the steel plate shear wall without openings'.Summarily,the model shape of five models of steel plate shear walls could be regarded that it was developed from a random kind of model shape of steel plate shear wall.The buildings of opening-door and opening-window had no significant influence on natural characteristics of the steel plate shear wall.The existence of the stiffener(including column)along the openings' edge raised the natural frequencies of the steel plate shear wall more obviously,which was thought that stiffener along the openings' edge and middle column contributed to the whole increased stiffness of steel plate shear wall and made this happened.(4)Study on the seismic behavior of the five numerical calculation models.The author mainly explored their hysteretic curve,skeleton curve,hysteretic curve.The results suggested that the opening-door and window led hysteretic curve of the steel plate shear wall relatively full.In terms of skeleton curve,it presented ductility curve,without obvious downtrend.In addition,the hysteretic area and energy-dissipating coefficient of the steel plate shear wall with openings-door and opening-window became bigger,with should be in the middle of the wall or related to one side of the frame column.What's more,the seismic behavior of it was high.
