With the increase of global urbanization rate,the area of hard surface road is expanding,which causes that large amount of rain loses in the way of surface runoff.Many problems of urban flood disaster,water shortage and water pollution have emerged.Development of the city is facing tremendous environmental and resource pressures.The area of urban roads occupies a large proportion of urban impervious areas,and the traditional urban road design in China,especially the horizontal,longitudinal section design and road network planning are unreasonable,which makes those problems more severe in China.The sponge city means that the city has a good "resilience" to cope with environmental changes and natural disasters.Natural drainage measures can be combined with artificial measures by setting low impact development measures.This paper is just under this research background and discusses how to design the drainage of urban roads under the guidance of sponge city concept,stormwater management and landscape design.The research contents are as follows.Study the related theories of sponge city and the specific application of relevant technical measures in urban road design through the analysis of domestic and foreign successful cases hoping to change the traditional thought of stormwater management in China.The design of the main road of Beihai park phase 2 in Changchun is based on the theory of sponge city and the specific items.Choose appropriate development measures and use the SWMM model to carry out the simulation analysis.Hope that this paper can provide reference for the urban planning and design of sponge city in future.The completed work and conclusions are summarized as follows.(1)Some related theories of sponge city are studied,especially the specific applications of several low impact development measures in urban roads,such as permeable pavement,biological detention facilities,sunken green space,grassed swales and so on.(2)The principles and ideas of urban road design under the goal of sponge city aresummarized,including the specific design inside the road red line,the connection design between urban roads and the area outside the road red line,and the road plane layout design.(3)According to the engineering project and relevant codes and standards,cross section design,drainage design and low impact development facility design are carried out.(4)According to the landscape and hydrogeology conditions of design sections,SWMM models in undeveloped mode,traditional development mode and low impact development mode are completed.(5)The simulation results show that the sponge city roads can not only effectively reduce peak flow and runoff volume,but also relieve the pressure of drainage pipes so that the possibility of urban inland inundation can be reduced.
