With the development of railway transportation,the application of heavy rail is more and more widely.The heel end forming process of the corresponding turnout on the safety of railway transportation is also paid more and more attention.In this paper,the key technology of rail forming is studied in view of the rail forming quality and the anti-partial load problem of the press.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Based on the four-station turnout press equipment,this paper innovatively designed the anti-partial load press structure with switchable station,and proposed the press' s functional requirement—50000KN forging press and its design requirements,mold design,structural features and so on.(2)Aiming at the characteristics of rail heel forming,the die cavity is optimized by means of finite element software to achieve the purpose of rail forming with no flash or less flash.During the forming process of 60 AT rail heel,the stress,strain,damage value,temperature field and load change of the workpiece in each station were tracked and analyzed,which met the preset standard of heel end forming.(3)Based on the Oyane ductile fracture criterion and the numerical simulation analysis,a general method for judging the quality of the rail heel from the damage value is proposed.Through the establishment of orthogonal test,the conclusion of how to influence the forming quality of the rail heel is obtained,and concrete analysis is made on how the different parameters affect the peak value of damage and the intrinsic factors that affect the forming quality so as to reduce the material damage value.(4)Through the comparison of the experimental results and the simulation results,the parameters of the workpiece obtained by the two methods are almost the same.The steel rails obtained by the experiment are verified through subsequent verification,no obvious defects such as material cracking and insufficient filling have been found,which achieves the purpose of experiment design through simulation.That provides a theoretical basis for the forming of AT rail heel.The research on 60 AT steel rail heel forging forming technology has practical production reference for improving rail forming quality.
