Neutral grounding is probably one of the most confusing subjects faced by the utility distribution engineer in distribution system.Grounding fault protection and detection methods for distribution systems.First,we will briefly reviews and will compare medium-voltage distribution system grounding methods.Next,we will analyze the behavior of the different grounded systems when a ground fault occurs on these systems and advantages and dis advantages of that methods. We then discuss the different methods that could be used to detect ground faults on these systems. We conclude by summarizing the difference between the different grounded systems, the means to detecting faults on these systems, and the limitation of the different proposed methods.Generally small current grounding system is used in many countries(the neutral point no direct grounding system).Due to the fault current is too small to identify. So the distribution network operators have been plagued by this kind of fault line selection accuracy. This research establishesSimulink model to analyze and to understand the fault of the single phase grounding system with MATLAB.The simulation and results are used to guide the fault line selection...
