With the development of the transportation today, the bridge plays an important role in the transportation.A big proportion is occupied by small and medium-span bridges in our country highway and city road.Furthermore, the concrete hollow slab bridge is one of the bridge types that are commonly used in all small and medium-span bridges.Besides, the hollow slab section has the advantages of greater torsional stiffness and good stability compared with other cross-sections.As far as China's current development situation is concerned,an important factor that affects the safety of bridges is the operation of vehicles. The vast majority of small and medium-span bridges are distributed on country roads with low design standards and poor traffic capacity. However, due to the frequent overloading of these small and medium-span bridges, these bridges are subject to excessive deformation, serious damage, and reduced performance, even collapse. Therefore, the study of bridge behavior becomes particularly important. After consulting a large number of domestic and foreign data on the shear behavior of reinforced concrete bridges in this paper, the development history and research status of shear resistance of reinforced concrete bridges were summarized, and the main factors affecting the shear behavior of reinforced concrete were introduced. The shear-resistance of 16m prestressed reinforced concrete hollow slabs that have been in service for 20 years was tested, and the shear behavior of the hollow slabs was analyzed by the finite element software ABAQUS.Besides, the main factors that affected the shear behavior of the hollow slab were studied in more depth. The research results are as follows:(1)The diagonal cracks of the hollow slab girder are almost parallel through the analysis of the crack development of the test beam.(2)In the initial stage of loading of hollow slab beams, concrete is the main role of force. However, after the appearance of oblique cracks, the stirrups and the tensioned reinforcement inside the beam become the main roles of force based on the test beam.(3)The shear behavior of hollow slab beams is positively correlated with the strength of concrete, the stirrup ratio, the strength of stirrups, and the ratio of reinforcing steel bars in the longitudinal direction, and inversely proportional to the shear span ratio through the method of combining the test with the finite element software...
