Drainage network system plays plays a vital role in the city’s sewage treatment,flood control and drainage,but traditional drainage network system is just a simple information management system of piping net which cann’t perceive the important operating index of pipe network and cann’t learn and handle overflowing water risk in time.With the development of internet of things technology,to build a new on-line monitoring and early warning system to dynamicly monitor the pipe network running status and get its basic information becomes possible.In view of the existing problems in the drainage pipe network system,This paper mainly studies the development and achievement of GIS-based drainage network’s on-line monitoring and early warning system.On the basis of the full analysis of drainage network system’s domestic and overseas research status and current problems and also full investigation and survey of the professional needs of Municipal Administration Department,Water Supplies Department,Drainage Department,etc.,it further analyzes the data requirement,function requirement and operating environment requirement which are needed for goal achievement.Then take the harbor district in Shanghai,the first batch sponge cities’s pilot area,as a research object and start from hardware and software to make the overall design and planning for system’s development goal,design principles,network topology,logical structure and technical route,to design the system in details from data collection layer,data communication layer,resource layer,business logic layer and function performance layer,to analyze and implement the buffer zone analysis and blocking analysis algorithm.It develops the system’s function from two-way starting point of information management,on-line monitoring and early warning of the drainage network.In the system design,it synthetically applies GIS,internet of things,modular integration,database management,etc.,advanced information management means to set up a diversified drainage on-line monitoring and early warning system.The system not only provides browse,query,statistics,analysis,etc.,basic information management function of the pipe network assets,but also direct display,query and statistics of monitoring point’s real-time liquid level,historical monitoring information,liquid level trend information and flood control and early warning information,which implement the scientific management of the drainage network,improve the supervision level of pipe network’s running state and also supply decision support for the pipe network’s continuous high-efficiency running,related department’s emergency scheduling measures making and public safe travel.
