This article demonstrates the simulation model of electric transmission line.The model is based on the 220kV single loop circuit in Fuzhou City and was built up by applying The principle of thundercloud discharge and ATP-EMTP application.It covers the detailed analysis of the movement of the Transverse Wave impedance and tower grounding resistance.It also discusses the phase change of lightning overvoltage,the creation of lightning arrester,and all the others details related to insulating layer,transmission line spacing,and lightning wave head length etc.The results indicate that the counter lightning resistance level of 220kV electric transmission line goes down when Transverse Wave impedance goes up;the counter lightning resistance level of 220kV electric transmission line goes down when tower grounding resistance goes up;the counter lightning resistance level of 220kV electric transmission line is affected by lightning overvoltages to some degree as well.In addition,the counter lightning resistance level of 220kV electric transmission line goes up with the increasing number of lightning arresters,decrease of rod tower height,the increasing number of insulating layers,the decrease of transmission line spacing,and also the decreasing distance between wires and coupling wires.This paper also demonstrates that the lightning location and monitoring system can precisely record some critical indexes,including the flash density,lightning current amplitude,the lightning trip-out rate in the historic years and also lightning wave waveform.Those results have significant impacts on analyzing lightning faults,improving lightning-proof measures and improving lightning protection effects.Besides,it also plays a critical role in identifying The Easy to Strike Tower of electric transmission]ine since a massive amount of labor,financial resources,workload and lightning rods can be saved by using the lightning location and monitoring system.This paper also made an analysis on the tripping rate of 220kV electric transmission line in the rural area at Fuzhou City.It also covers the transformation built up to mitigate the negative effects associated with the easy to strike parts of electric transmission line in a rural area at Fuzhou city.
