The metal strip consists of two parts:metal piece and steel strip group,which is the most important part of the metal belt type continuously variable transmission.The location of the innermost steel ring and the complex working conditions lead to easy wear,damage or even break,which directly affects the service life of the metal belt.In order to improve the wear resistance of the innermost steel strip and to prolong the service life of the metal belt,the article has carried out related research on the improvement of textured metal sheet in its working conditions and friction and wear.The following research work has been done:1.The geometrical relationship,basic parameters,and force conditions of the CVT metal belt drive have been analyzed,and the reasons that the metal belt wear failure mainly occurs in the inner steel strip have been analyzed.A CVT metal belt force model was established to calculate the working load of the metal sheet and the steel strip to obtain the working state of the inner steel strip.2.Five different surface textured steel strip models have been established by using SolidWorks,which consists that without textures,concave circles,convex circles,concave ribbons,and convex ribbons.And the model was assembled with a metal piece into a simplified assembly 3D model and imported into the Ansys Workbench finite element analysis software.Applying boundary conditions by Ansys and the calculated working load was applied to the model,then the finite element analysis of stress and strain on the metal ring of the metal sheet was performed.The improvement of the working state of the metal ring of the metal sheet before and after the texture was studied.The improved stress capability of a concave circular micro-texture is the best among the four micro-texture stress states.With regard to the strain capacity of the four micro-textures,the texture of the band-like texture is greater than that of the circular texture,and the micro-texture of the concave band is optimal.From the perspective of comprehensive improvement of stress and strain capacity,the concave texture has a higher state of improvement than the convex texture.3.Steel strips with different surface topographies have been prepared,friction and wear experiments under sliding and micro-motion conditions have been completed,and steel strips with optimal surface topography have been identified.The addition of circular micro-textures and ribbon micro-textures can increase the wear-resistance and wear-resistance of the test specimen within a certain interval,adjust the friction coefficient,reduce the friction coefficient of the material,and increase the friction-reducing performance of the metal tape.Among them,the circular micro-texture specimens have better anti-wear properties.
