As an important component of transport machinery,the mechanical properties of ring chain have been concerned widely.With the development of large-scale and specialized transportation machinery in our country,the requirements for the performance of ring chain are gradually improved.In consideration of the fact that most of the ring chain is exposed in the air during operation,it is necessary to consider the influence of ambient factors.In this paper,in order to study the performance of circular chain by the influence of temperature and strain rate,the ABAQUS simulation software was used to build models under the different start-up conditions and analyzed the starting characteristics,and the average stress loading rate was obtained at the same time.Then,the tensile properties of the chain under temperature,stress rate and coupling conditions were simulated and analyzed.Output strain rate,energy,contact force and other parameters chart by using MATLAB,and carry out the comparative analysis meanwhile.The results show that the normal contact force of chain link increases with the increase of starting speed when the same weight is started at different speeds;when lifting different weights at the same speed,the normal contact force increases with the heavy load.Overloaded start-up on the chain is very harmful and this working condition should be avoided as far as possible.Based on the analysis of the response curve of the different stress rate and the influence of the link structure on the variation rate,it can be determined that the static tensile stress rate range of the static load tensile test that is suitable for standard parts is not suitable for ring chain at all.At the same time fitting relationship between the stress rate and the maximum strain rate of ring chain structure is obtained.The temperature mainly affects the change of energy during the stretching process,and the increase of the stress rate plays a leading role in the increase of the strain rate.The coupling between the temperature range of-40-40 ?and the stress rate range of 6-400MPa/s promotes the increase of strain rate and energy.The investigation of this paper provides a reference for improving the structure and the comprehensive performance of ring link.Meanwhile,it has an extensive engineering application background and certain guiding significance to the actual production and use environment.
