Research On The Electrified Replacement Method Of Tension Insulator String In UHV AC Transmission Lines

Along with our country UHV AC transmission lines have been running,the research of UHV AC transmission lines maintenance is ongoing.As the most important part of the UHV AC transmission line,whether the tension insulator string is normal or not directly related to lines running safety.In order to replace the insulator and make sure the UHV AC working normally,studying methods of replacing the tension insulator string(piece)is very necessary.This paper lists the difference between UHV AC transmission lines and common transmission lines,and analysis the electric field of tension insulator,the mechanical properties of UHV transmission lines,the electrical properties of tension insulator and issues related to the electrified replacement method of tension insulator.In allusion to the replacement of tension insulator string,demonstrates three primary schemes: insulating levers and cradles one-piece device,insulating levers and cars,using high strength ropes.In allusion to the replacement of tension insulator piece,put forward two methods,one is the worker sitting on tension insulator string,the other is the worker squat on the hanging basket.Finally making the best plan,that is: using high strength ropes to replace tension insulator string and sitting on the tension insulator string to replace tension insulator piece.
